Just Surveyor's Fees

These are a rough guide. Speak to a Just Surveyor to get a specific fee quotation.

A Surveyor appointed by  a person undertaking work should  give a fixed fee subject to reasonable caveats (i.e  adequate  design information and no changes*). A surveyor appointed by an Adjoining Owner will normally quote an hourly rate but fees for both surveyors should be approximately the same (an Agreed or Adjoining Owner's surveyor will normally include for a final inspection).  If  a single surveyor is appointed as the Agreed Surveyor the fee should also remain the same (So the total cost will be half) . Surveyors should not charge for excessive travel time (i.e. more than 30 min per journey). The fees suggested  below are based upon typical circumstances where adequate drawings are available from the designers.

*It's important to stress that a Party Wall Surveyors input and therefore fees) will increase if adequate technical information is not available from the designers (Architects and Engineers), or if the design changes after the Party Wall process has started..

We have listed below typical expected fee ranges for common types of project based on works to a typical London Victorian/Georgian/Edwardian/20th Century/Modern family dwelling assuming there are not unusual problems and assuming adequate information is available.
